02 Website access and hosting
This website is provided on a server at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When you visit, your IP address and the technical details of your request are processed so that the server can send the requested content to your browser. These include, for example, the requested address, the time and information transmitted by your browser.
This processing serves to provide, troubleshoot and secure the website. Its basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a reliable and secure information service. Hetzner receives technical data insofar as this is necessary to operate the server infrastructure. Further information: Hetzner privacy policy.
Technical data is retained only as long as required for the particular operational or security purpose. Information relating to a specific error or security incident is retained until the matter has been investigated and resolved, or for necessary preservation of evidence, and is then deleted unless another legal basis requires its retention.
03 Contact by email
If you write to post@atw3.de, we process your email address, your name if provided, and the contents and any attachments of your message. We use this information to handle your enquiry and communicate with you.
For enquiries concerning a contract or steps before entering into a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We handle other enquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to incoming messages under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Providing further information is voluntary; without a usable contact address, we cannot reply.
Messages are deleted once the enquiry, including necessary follow-up questions, has been resolved and the data is no longer needed for a business relationship or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Where commercial or tax retention duties apply, the affected documents are retained for the statutory period, on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Technical email service providers may receive the data needed to deliver and store messages.
Our post@atw3.de mailbox is hosted by IONOS. For internal appointment management, Alexander Tsambasis also receives a copy of booking and cancellation messages in his Outlook/Hotmail mailbox at Microsoft. The information contained in each message and its calendar invitation is transmitted to and processed by the respective email provider. Further information: IONOS privacy policy and Microsoft privacy statement.
04 Online appointment booking
To book an appointment, we process your name, email address, selected topic, meeting type, appointment time, time zone and language. A telephone appointment also requires your phone number. An additional message is optional. We cannot reserve the appointment without the required information. We use these details to organise appointments, contact you and send confirmations, calendar invitations and, where applicable, cancellations.
Booking records are stored in our own booking system on the Hetzner server described above. Confirmations and cancellations are sent through IONOS to your address and as an internal copy to the Outlook/Hotmail mailbox Alexander Tsambasis uses for appointment management. The information about email providers also applies. You can add the calendar file to a compatible calendar application yourself; the booking function does not access your calendar. For video appointments, the meeting link is arranged separately.
Where the appointment is a step towards a contract taken at your request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other appointment enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in handling your enquiry under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. To prevent abusive bulk bookings, we also use server-side request counters and a pseudonymised IP address identifier, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Records in the live booking system, including delivery status and the associated abuse-prevention identifier, are automatically deleted 90 days after the appointment ends. Separately stored emails and any business documents subject to statutory retention follow the email retention rules described above.
05 Page settings, fonts and tracking
We use no analytics or advertising trackers and no cookies on this website. Fonts, images and scripts are loaded from our own website. The website does not create visitor profiles or use Local Storage or Session Storage to recognise visitors.
A selection of services on the industry pages remains only in the memory of the open browser window. Opening a prepared email may include that selection in its text. It is transmitted to us only when you send the message using your email application.
We maintain the blog using a self-hosted Directus instance on our Hetzner server. Published articles and blog images are delivered through atw3.de. Your browser does not connect directly to Directus for this purpose, and the website does not forward visitor identifiers to the editorial system. The information about website operation above also applies to these requests.
06 Links to other websites
External services and project previews are provided as links. Your browser opens the linked website only when you follow a link. Its operator then processes the data required for that visit under its own privacy information. Videos and external appointment-booking services are not embedded here.
07 Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR). If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, contact post@atw3.de.
Objection: You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). We will then cease processing the affected data unless there are overriding compelling legitimate grounds or grounds for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred. The authority for North Rhine-Westphalia is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia.
08 Protection of transmission
The website uses HTTPS to encrypt transmission between your browser and our web server. We do not use this website to make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
